Lee Ann Womack

個人簡介

她的音樂興趣培養來自於她那做電台音樂節目主持人的父親，父親經常把她帶到演播室。中學畢業後，她進入了德克薩斯州的來沃蘭德(Levelland)學院學習，這是第一批提供鄉村及牧歌音樂學位的學校之一。她加入了學院的樂隊“Country Caravan”樂隊。她一直跟著這個音樂組織的成員們到處演出。後來，她到納什維爾的貝爾蒙大學學習音樂課程，Lee Ann Womack隨後成為MCA唱片公司AR部門的實習人員，最後在1995年進入TREE出版社工作。在這裡，她與人合作為Ed Hill, Bill Anderson和Sam Hogin寫東西。一年後，她與Decca唱片公司簽約，成為一名獨奏藝術家。她在1997年推出由Mark Wright(曾與她合作在TREE出版社寫作的人)為製作人的專輯，結果在當年獲得了兩項CMA大獎。之後，另一部由Wright指導製作的專輯《Some Things I Know》的隆重出世，這部作品中融入更多的工作技巧。Womack在這部專輯中與其前夫Jason Sellers合作演唱了《If You're Ever Down In Dallas》，與Billy Lawson和Dale Dodson合作，製作了《The Man Who Made My Mama Cry》。這部作品在1998年10月至11月推向觀眾，而她的第二個孩子剛好於1999年1月出生。2000年，Womack贏得了一個CMA大獎，獲獎作品是她新專輯中主打歌曲《I Hope You Dance》，與這部專輯同名。她的《Have you seen that girls》在美劇《the l word》中作為插曲使用，很傷感，打動人心的歌曲
