團隊簡介

Libera是由一群男童高音(Boy Soprano)的孩子們所參與的少年合唱團，關於該合唱團的組成與概念是極具獨創性的。儘管該團於1999年以Libera為名正式啟程，但其歷史應該更為久遠，知名的聖菲利浦少年合唱團(St. Phillips Boys Choir)可說是他們的前身。而該團的靈魂人物、同樣也擔任作曲家的Robert Prizeman，也曾經在聖菲利浦少年合唱團擔任演唱過。自英國皇家音樂學院(Royal Academy of Misic)畢業後的他，承繼了合唱團的形式，進而開始著手運作Libera。他們第一次以聖菲利浦童聲合唱團的身份走進公眾的視線，可以追溯到1984年他們在Sal Solo的歌San Damiano中為他唱和聲。在之後的1988年，他們以聖菲利浦童聲合唱團的名字發行天使之翼合唱團了他們的第一張專輯Sing For Ever。1990年合唱團改名為Angel Voices發行了Angel Voices - New Day，隨後的幾年又出了Angel Voices系列的三張專輯（1993 Angel Voices，1996 Angel Voices 2，1997 Angel Voices 3 - Christmas Album）以及他們重新編排的版本（1996 Angel Voices - Peace On Earth）。這一時期合唱團開始廣為人知。到1999年，樂團改名Libera，並發行了同名專輯Libera。 2001年和2004年又分別發行了Luminosa和Free兩張專輯，2005年發行了專輯Visions，2006年發行了精選集Angel Voices，2007年發行了合唱團的第一張DVD ——Angel Voices: Libera In Concert。2008年又陸續推出數張新制專輯和精選集。其中Free和2006年發行的Angel Voices都獲得了全英古典音樂獎的年度最佳專輯提名。而EMI唱片公司為Olympic雅典運動會發行了一張古典音樂專輯“Harmony”，則收錄了專輯Free里的一首歌曲Voca Me。

演唱特點

天使之翼合唱團（Libera）大都被認為是繼承更早的一支童聲團體，名曰：聖菲利浦童聲合唱團（St. Philips Boys Choir）。因此他們承襲了童聲固有的純樸、乾淨和透亮的特點外，更融合了教堂唱詩班歌贊上帝的詠嘆，神秘和靜謐氣息令人回味。英國皇家音樂學院（Royal Academy of Misic）畢業的Robert Prizeman主導和運作Libera後，有意讓合唱團更趨向現代流行品位，在創作和編曲過程加添了新世紀元素，使得Libera在整體上富有縹緲和悠遠之感。

音樂含義

Libera在拉丁語裡代表“自由”之意。英國音樂製作人與詩歌班所交織而成的歌聲Libera。他們的聲音融合了傳統教會音樂與新世紀音樂，創作出全新的類型。“在拉丁語裡，這個字不僅蘊含心靈氣氛，同時還擁有能將歌曲意義傳達給眾人的力量。”（製作人兼作曲家：Robert Prizeman）

社會活動

Libera除了平常自身的活動以外，也時常參與各種企劃。他們在世界各地演出，曾經為教皇演唱。也曾與布賴恩·威爾遜（Brian Wilson）、卡雷拉斯(José Carreras)、碧玉、尼爾戴蒙(Neil Diamond)、艾爾頓·強（Elton John）、等不同領域的巨星共同合作過，也曾參與演唱過好萊塢電影的曲目。在『奪寶奇兵4』、『漢尼拔』、『羅密歐與茱麗葉』、『未來總動員』、安東尼霍普金斯的『影子大地』、『人魔』等作品裡，都能聽到他們動人的歌聲。
